Comedian Paul Whitehouse's Ex-Wife Reveals 'Inhumane' Tabloid Intrusion During Cancer Battle in High Court Testimony

Comedian Paul Whitehouse's ex-wife, Fiona Wightman, testified in the High Court about the "inhumane" tabloid intrusion she experienced during her marriage breakdown and battle with ovarian cancer. Wightman claimed that a private investigator for Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) attempted to obtain her private medical information. She expressed feeling invaded and confused as journalists approached her elderly parents' home in search of a story. Wightman, who is suing MGN along with other individuals, alleged privacy breaches through phone hacking and unlawful newsgathering. MGN has admitted to using a private investigator unlawfully on six occasions but denies voicemail interception in Wightman's case.
